Grand Old Day

So this Sunday in St. Paul it was all about Grand Old Day. It’s supposed to be the ‘first rite of summer’ here. It’s the largest one-day festival in the Midwest, and it kicks off the start of Minnesota’s festival season.

It started with a parade early morning and after that most of Grand Avenue was closed for music, games, little stores and food.

I live right on Grand, so my neighbors and I decided to host a party in our front yard. We had tons of guests that day, and we ended up being kind of a base spot for everyone we knew that was visiting the festival.

It started pretty early in the morning and people left around 11pm. We were so tired the next day!!! The last pic is my little Coco the next morning, sleeping instead of her ‘mommy-please-play-tug-o-war-with-me’ normal morning routine.

It was so much fun!
